Black Beauty Tips and Techniques
Welcome to the Black Beauty section! Here you will find information about makeup application, professional makeup brushes, and how to use different types of cosmetic products. The most important factor is that I have included tips and techniques geared towards you. This will help you feel confident about applying makeup, and finding what works best for your desired look.
When it comes to makeup, I find the biggest concerns among Black women are finding a foundation color that works well with their natural skin tone, and learning how to contour specific parts of the face (eyes, lips or nose). Well guess what? After thoroughly exploring this section, you will learn all of that and much more! Click here for the best in skin care! And don’t think you’re going to get away without wearing blush! Let’s face it, our memories of blush stem from a period when few colors were available for Black women. Our women walked around with war stripes on their faces, which left a lot of us with fears about wearing blush. I promise, if applied properly, it will only add warmth to your overall look, and not overwhelm it. Don’t worry, I’ll tell you how to do it. Find perfect colors to compliment your skin tone!Remember when all of us walked around with reddish-orange complexions? Well not anymore! Because of the huge increase in Black beauty icons, cosmetic companies are expanding their lines to include our women with our specific needs in mind. I know it will help you gain more confidence in available products, as well as discover how glamorous you can be. I highly encourage you to have fun and try new things. Remember, practice makes perfect. It took me an entire month to learn how to contour my eyes. Talk about frustrating! I must admit I have gained a new appreciation for beauty, and I know you will too. If you’re interested in books about Black Beauty, I’ve found a few that I think you will love. Furthermore, it's important for you to be able to stay informed about the latest activities within your culture, so I invite you to check out Essence magazine.
