Great Ethnic Skin Care made simple

I cannot stress the importance of good ethnic skin care. I have worked with many women that want smooth skin, yet they don’t have a good regimen. I can give you all the makeup advice I’ve learned over the years, but I would be doing you a disservice if I didn’t tell you that makeup looks even better on flawless skin. Furthermore, you’ll find that you use less foundation because you won’t have many flaws to conceal.

I know you’re probably overwhelmed with all the available information about skin care. To tell you the truth, it seems like every time I turn on the television, there’s a new advertisement about some new skin care product that offers a totally new ingredient. It’s enough to make me confused!

I know it all sounds fancy, and of course we all want to stick to the product that involves the “latest technology”, but honestly, it’s all about manipulation and marketing. I freelance for a very popular cosmetics line, and I will tell you we have new product launches every month! It’s not that the products are “new”, but the company will change the packaging, blend of minerals, or the color tint and relaunch the same product under a totally different name.

Companies do this because women who invest time and money into their appearance always want the “latest and greatest”, so that’s what they strive to offer. I don’t want to discourage you from purchasing good ethnic skin care products because I do believe that every company has something wonderful to offer. I just want to keep you from feeling as though you have to purchase different expensive products in order to have great skin.

I will be providing information based on your skin type, as well as for those who are interested in acne skin care and other types of skin care. Because I have very oily and acne-prone skin, I’ve seen dermatologists since the age of 17, and my regimen has always been simple. Dermatologists aren’t retail salesmen, so they didn’t spend a lot of time trying to sell me on fancy products.

As a matter of fact, I’ve found that the best products for my skin can be found at the local drugstore. If you know what to look for, skin care products sold at the drugstore in many cases work just as well without the fancy name and corresponding price tag. You will find some great, very simple information here, but don’t forget ethnic skin care also starts from the inside. Here’s what I mean:

Nutrition – Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, and less processed foods. The simpler the food, the healthier it is for you. It’s o.k. to splurge every now and then, but try to eat more natural foods than not.

Sleep – Making sure you get enough rest improves your concentration and energy level.

Water – This one is major. Remember all those television advertisements about drinking 8 glasses of water a day? Well, they were for a good reason. Drinking plenty of water helps to keep your cells hydrated, so your body can release those unnecessary toxins. It also gives you a more radiant skin complexion.

I know we’re focusing mainly on facial skin care, but remember the skin is the largest organ of the body, and it serves many different purposes. I've found that an online medical resource is great for getting additional information about other ethnic skin care issues. What's great about it is that it provides specific information that may be of interest to you. It's very educational, and written in a down-to-earth language, so it's easy to understand.

If you want great-looking healthy skin, your approach has to be both internal and external. You can achieve the results you want by following these simple steps for ethnic skin care, and your body will thank you too.
