Removing Blackheads is easy!
Welcome to the world of removing blackheads! Have you ever looked in the mirror and wondered what those little black spots were doing on your face? You probably figured out that they were too hardened to be moles, but had no idea how they got onto your face in the first place. If you suffer from acne, you probably know that it is the result of clogged pores – usually caused by trapped oils and other bacteria.
Those clogged pores typically start as whiteheads, and as time goes on, more dirt and other bacteria are trapped. Eventually, the whitehead darkens due to its exposure to oxygen, and becomes a blackhead.
Steps to remove blackheads
First, you want to open those pores by steaming your face. You can use a facial steamer, or fill a bowl/pot with hot steamy water (fill about half-way) and drape a towel over your head while holding your head over the bowl/pot for about 10 minutes. Make sure the water isn’t too hot or you may scald yourself. Another way to open pores is to place a warm cloth over your face for at least five minutes. Next, use tweezers or blackhead extractor to remove the blackhead from its pore. Both can be purchased from the local pharmacy. When using a blackhead extractor, place the loop end on the blackhead and gently squeeze the blackhead out of its pore. Clean the area with alcohol or antibacterial soap afterwards. Using a clay mask twice a week will help remove blackheads as well as prevent them from forming in the first place. Biore Pore strips are excellent in removing blackheads, but can cause some irritation, so use only when you need it.
