Ethnic Women Celebrities

The main motivation for me researching women celebrities is that I believe it is important for you to see images of yourself in the media. The female ethnic faces that are gracing magazines, movie screens, and records are confirmation that beauty comes in various shades, ages, and cultures. For example, Columbian actress Sofia Vergara recently signed deals with CoverGirl and Diet Pepsi. African American actress Viola Davis is gaining world-wide recognition for her acting skills.

Historically it was very common for us to feel pressure to compromise our heritage in order to gain acceptance from mainstream, but fortunately times are changing. It is more important that we showcase our beauty so that we can share the background and wisdom that accompanies our differences.

Provided below are pages containing a list of female celebrities that showcase Latin, Black, Indian and Asian celebrities, and I am proud that such a diverse group of women are being celebrated for their talents and achievements. I believe the exposure is allowing mainstream to become more open-minded, which is a positive step forward in so many different ways. These celebrity women are helping to change the standard of beauty, and there is an increase in interest about our cultural differences and history because of it.
